# How-To Steps:
01 - Line a tray with parchment paper and lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray
02 - Core the apples and cut into 1-inch chunks. Pat completely dry with paper towels to ensure candy adhesion
03 - Insert a toothpick into each apple chunk and set aside on a clean surface
04 - In a small saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until combined, then bring to a boil over medium-high heat without stirring further
05 - Boil until mixture reaches 300°F on a candy thermometer, approximately 7-8 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in red food coloring
06 - Working quickly, dip each apple chunk into the hot candy coating, swirling to coat completely. Allow excess coating to drip off before placing on prepared tray
07 - If desired, immediately sprinkle with nuts, chocolate chips, or sprinkles before the coating hardens
